Hello Everyone!!! My name is Carla Lotus and I am happy to share a fun sweet recipe with all of you! Today I will be showing you how to make Mazapán Horchata!

This drink is special as it involves a traditional Mexican candy called Mazápan which can be described as a peanut candy marzipan style. It is soft and crumbles easily. I like to put it in the fridge before I eat it so that it solidifies a little easier and doesn’t get all over the place. You can find them here: https://amzn.to/35rkzx5

For this recipe, you are going to need the following ingredients:


-8 to 12 Mazápan candies

-One can of condensed milk

-One can of evaporated milk

-2 1/2 cups of whole milk (I used 2% it worked out fine)

-1 to 2 tbsp of vanilla extract -Ice

-Y “Mucho, Mucho, Amor”


What you want to do first is add the evaporated and the whole milk in together into a blender along with 8 Mazápan candies and your vanilla extract. (I used only one tbsp because I actually ran out. You could put some more in)

Now, you want to pour this mixture into a jug or drink dispenser. After that, add the condensed milk little by little to the desired sweetness. You could use the entire can or half depending on your taste buds. I used all of it because, with the ice, it gets watered down.

After this step, go ahead and whisk the mixture (con mucho amor haha) until all of the condensed milk is incorporated. Add your ice, and it’s done!!!

For the garnish, I crushed up about three more Mazápans on a small plate to rim the glass. Use either your leftover condensed milk or the drink itself, dip the rim of your glass with this. Then, dip and cover that area with the crushed Mazápan.
