About Me

Hi, I’m Kelsey. Welcome to my kitchen! I’m a small-town baker and content creator. My desserts are a mix of my Mexican heritage and Texas roots.

My love of baking started when I was a kid helping my mom around the kitchen. Pretty soon I took over and would be asked to help make something when needed. I started experimenting with new recipes I’d find online which my friends and family were happy to try. I went away to college and something began to click in me. I wanted to create my own recipes and recreate the foods I loved.

As I started on this path, I wanted to dig into my Mexican roots and make food connected to my culture. I had my grandparents help me taste-test it to make it as authentic as possible and bring a taste of Mexico to them. Then I felt that I needed to bring these flavors to everyone and share the memories these sweets bring me and help others create some themselves.

From the empanadas that have been in my family for generations, the conchas I ate with my grandparents as a kid, the brownies I learned from my mom, and everything in between, I want to bring the flavors of my family to you.
